Painters Insurance

Painters are considered “contractors” for insurance purposes.  In the state of Ohio you do not need a license to be a painter.  However, If your business will generate wastewater, Ohio’s rules require that it be properly managed. In addition, you may be required to notify Ohio EPA that you generate hazardous waste or submit other reports.  You can read more about that here:  Working as a painting contractor? As a painter or a paint company in Ohio, you may need the following insurance policy types:

General Liability – General liability insurance policies typically cover you and your company (business) for claims involving bodily injuries and property damage resulting from your products, services or operations.

Property – for painters tools like sprayers, sanders, ladders, extension poles, mixers, edging tools, heat guns, etc.

Auto – for company vehicles
